July 15th: Tapioca Pudding Day
Ah, tapioca pudding; it either makes you want to eat a whole tub, or makes you want to blow chunks. Depending on which one is you, this day could go quite differently for some…
July 19th: Caviar Day
Are you so rich you can afford to eat smelly, expensive fish eggs? Then this day is for you, my good sir or madam. Throw a Gatsby-style dinner party and invite all your posh friends over for some caviar. Yum?
July 22nd: Hammock Day
Do you really need an excuse to relax all day? Still, July 22nd falls on a Friday this year, so you might be thwarted by that whole job thing you’ve got goin’ on. You could always remind your boss of this extremely important holiday. Or juts call in sick, whichever works.
July 23rd: Hot Dog Day
Didn’t get your fill of hot dogs on the 4th? There’s a holiday just for one of America’s favorite summer foods. And, in years past, some food chains have given customers hot dog discounts on the 23rd, so keep an eye out for cheap weenies.
July 24th: Tequila Day
Not much needs to be said about this one, except a gentle reminder to order a cab and not plan to keep much of your dinner. Cheers.
July 27th: Take Your Pants For a Walk Day
We all know that taking your pants for a walk is part of a healthy pants-owning routine. Roll yourself out of bed, put on the pants you were most definitely not wearing, and go for a hearty stroll. Note: some sites across the interwebs list July 27th as Take Your Plants For a Walk Day. So, there might be some slight confusion. Or just some very well-exercised plants.
July 29th: National Lasagna Day
What could be better than eating the deliciously melty, cheesy, pasta-y goodness that is fresh lasagna? Answer: a whole day dedicated to it. Invite people over to make some or eat out somewhere that has a world-class lasagna dish. Actually, just go out by yourself. More lasagna for you.
